Hi, I'm Janie!

Hi! I'm Janie, and I began fitness coaching because I know how it feels when your health is the LAST thing on your list of priorities. I know how it feels to be tired, frustrated and overwhelmed from not knowing what your body needs, or how to begin the process of eating healthy and working out. 

 

5 years ago, I was full of doubt. I missed being proud of my body. I didn’t know how to stop binge eating. I needed to lose 30 pounds. I was struggling and I didn’t know if I could do it. I had Diastasis Recti (abdominal separation) and pelvic floor issues after giving birth.

 

Fast forward to 2020. I’m a personal trainer, yoga instructor, pre/postnatal yoga teacher and a nutrition coach. Over the past 5 years I’ve studied and learned about health and fitness, so that I can help women who are like 2015 Janie. Women who don’t feel motivated to start on their own. Women who need support and encouragement. Women who want to feel confident with the woman they see in the mirror. Women who want to heal their core and pelvic floor.

 

I specialize in educating and empowering women. I provide the support and education you need to reach your fitness goals. I believe in you. You CAN do this.

During my pregnancy, I was going to a large exercise class. While I enjoyed it, the trainers were not knowledgeable about pregnancy-safe exercises. I had to make my own modifications to keep baby and my pelvic floor safe. 

 

That's when I switched to working with Janie for personal training and she was able to guide me with the safe exercises. And when I had pregnancy pains such as sciatica, she was able to provide stretches that helped provide relief. 

 

After I had my baby, I expressed my concerns about diastasis recti.  She understood exactly and knew the precise workouts that would help me get to my goals without injury. She kept me accountable throughout our work together, helping me to reach my goals.

As a stay at home mom of two littles going to the gym just doesn't fit in with my season of life right now. When Janie said she was doing an at home program using only dumbells I hopped right on.
